Philosophy behind CALAFANT products – Smart toys for smart kids –
CALAFANT is solely focused on a child’s need for creative play. The company has the extremely sturdy, yet light and flexible cardboard material specially produced to ensure high quality for children to freely decorate and safely play. The company knows that kids like to transport or even throw and push the toys, and the special cardboard allows them to do that without the toys being easily damaged. Many small details reveal the great thought that went into the development of each model. With the included illustrated instructions, the toys can be built easily without glue, thanks to a clever fold-and-slot system.
CALAFANT pays close attention to ensure that there are no sharp edges or pointy towers. Since play and storage space is often an issue, each toy can be folded away for storage and, once the child has outgrown or outplayed it, it can be recycled instead of being thrown away and sent to a landfill. The new walk-in, expandable CALACASTLE offers another practical innovation: The towers feature removable tops to become secret compartments for treasures and other toys. It is obvious that a lot of thought went into this compact piece of furniture that can be built as a traditional castle or in L-shapes. Also, additional modules can easily be added to expand the CALACASTLE.
Children can create their very own imaginative play worlds with CALAFANT toys. Recent studies show how important it is for children to express their creativity. Apart from room to play, they need appropriate and adequate materials to build, paint and play to develop their fine motor skills, express their feelings and experiences, and find their own working solutions. Not only is it fun, but according to the Transfer Center for neurological sciences and learning in Ulm, Germany, it allows children to become smarter and promotes individual thinking.
